Skynyrd's tour schedule didn't agree with me this summer, but I'm of course on the lookout for the best cvhance

June 21st - Weird Al Yankovic - have loved his music for years, finally was aware of a show relatively nearby. Heck of a lot of fun for 2+ hours.
July 2nd - Lady Gaga [no kidding; I'm willing to bet I'm one of the very few people, if not the only one, who digs both LG and LS.]

A lot of my other favorites are touring in other regions of the US, or even in Europe, this summer, not to mention the classics that aren't around anymore. The fact that I'm taking summer classes also gets in the way.
Haven't made any other plans yet, though I'm considering a few.

Thanks for the tip, Paul - Skynyrd is one of the most underrated classic rock bands. We in Skynyrd Nation know better.

What rock lost in 10/77 was no less than what it lost in 2/59.

Scorpions and RATT,Those are are some memories. -Blackout by Scorps was an awesome album. I think I liked every song! When was it released? I think in 81? I was 21! Wow! Time sure does pass quickly when you are having fun!
And Round and Round by Ratt! Great song.

Hey, Weird Al is one funny dude, liked him for years. And it actually takes a lot of talent to accurately hit the wide assortment of targets he goes after. :)

Yeah, as I said, I know I'm about the only one that likes both LG and LS, so I didn't intend to give anybody any ideas; I'll keep my ideas to myself. :)
Anyway, on a somewhat more serious note, i actually did find some points of comparison despite how wildly different the music and acts are.
I even joked about the unlikely confluence of interests in picture form: http://twitpic.com/24upzy
