It's always hard to choose "favorite" songs from Skynyrd because I truly believe every song is great they write, but I must agree with some previous posters. This may go down as one of their greatest albums of all time. (Note, I said one of, not the greatest).

My top 5 songs on the cd in order:

1) Raining in My Heartland
2) Little Thing Called You
3) Unwrite That Song
4) Floyd (feat. Rob Zombie)
5) Southern Ways

Raining in My Heartland is just amazing to me. It's my fav song to play when I'm in the car.

When Skynyrd was putting out the video podcasts before the album was released Johnny talked about "Southern Ways" having mention of 2 previous Skynyrd songs: "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Simple Man" but if you listen hard enough...there's many more than just 2.

"When I was 15 I dreamed of leaving my home
I had to see the world
And live like a rolling stone
I heard California was paved in gold "

(Makes you think of "Was I Right or Wrong" -- does it not?)

"Played every honky tonk and this ol' bar "

("Gimme Three Steps")

and then you know the 2 other references...

But on another point...wow. This cd hit me hard. "Storm" is an absolutely amazing song. Johnny said they wrote it for Ean and for every common man that goes through some really rough stretches. Right now, I'm looking for full-time employment (I work part-time) and things had gotten pretty down, then I heard that song. WOW.

Oh, and "Little Thing Called You" I could have swore they wrote for me...lol.

Either way...this cd is amazing!!!

"I've seen a lot of people who thought they were cool...
...But then again, I've seen a lot of fools"

1-. Still Unbroken
2.- God & Guns
3.- Gifted Hands
4.- Skynyrd Nation
5.- Unwrite that song

But I do think that they are all so good.

Been a life long fan of Skynyrd since buying Pronounced in early '74.

This latest album is a great return to the studio, for a great band.

Real hard to pick just five from such a quality set of songs but here goes ...

1. God & Guns
2. Still Unbroken
3. Little Thing Called You
4. Raining In My Heartland
5. Storm

Okay, now that I've listened to it, I think my top 5 is all set:

1. Skynyrd Nation
2. Floyd
3. Southern Ways
4. Little Thing Called You
5. Still Unbroken

'God & Guns' would be a close # 6...
