I watch that video at least 2 times a day. That was the most white hot concert they ever did that was recorded. There wasn't a single screw up all day. Pure Magic. I will never understand why they chose the Oakland show for Freebird the movie. This was filmed so much better.

And This Bird You'll Never Change

Yeah thats great footage of both those events

I like this 1974 footage video also with bob burns ed king its like sitting right in a garage barn watching them and i like that fancy guitar part in the rythem part ed king puts on the song and the up close Allen Collins guitar playing you can see where all players fingers are on the frets and theres a wild shot how ed darn near got hit in the head by leonsbass neck wow crowded stage .

Its a great vintage video of the band pronounced era http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9cY3YA0CyE....ten fower

That was the whole idea. I'm sure the guys wanted to blow the Stones off the stage just like Ike & Tina did on the '69 tour.

I think i read somewheres The largest crowd they ever played was in MO Misery missoura
Lynyrd Skynyrd was one of the headline acts at The Ozark Music Festival at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri.
The Ozark Music Festival was held on the Missouri State Fairgrounds, in July 1974 in Sedalia, Missouri. While the Woodstock Festival from 1969 is the most well-known rock festival, the Ozark Music Festival was one of the largest music festivals ever held, while at the same time, it was also one of the least remembered festivals. "No Hassles Guaranteed" was the motto of the festival.

Some estimates have put the crowd count at 350,000 people which would make this one of the largest music events (Rock festivals) in history.[

Simple answer: Peter Rudge and what he did to the film. Larkin said Peter Rudge did not hand over the entire footage when asked for it. Want the rest of the explanation?
