I know a little

Had a quick question regarding the 1977 band. Did they ever have the opportunity to play I Know A Little live during the Street Survivors Tour?

I don't know if they played I Know A Little in concert in '77 since I was a teenager not yet exposed to the concert gigs. The Outlaws were my first concert about two years later and they rocked it along with a little homegrown burnin' for me and a buddy. I'm sure that some of those on here did see Skynyrd in '77 that can tell ya for sure.

I saw Skynyrd in concert twice last year. They played I Know A Little during the set in Raleigh. I have to admit I got a little misty eyed as the current Skynyrd paid tribute to their frynd and watched the crowd get into it 35 years after it was first released. I consider this song to be Steve Gaines' swan song. Written just by him, it's got a great Okie sound to it. I hope that his widow, Teresa, is able to benefit from it somehow since it's still played in concert. Knowing that Gary, Johnny, and Rickey are the businessmen that they are, I hope that they take care of it for her.

If you listen you closely, I suggest that you can hear Steve's influence of sound with the slide guitar in their recent song, Last Of A Dyin' Breed.
