Skynyrd Still Kickin' Ass

Still rockin' and unbroken by loss of frynds... I've been a fan of this band since I turned 14 ( I'm 48 now ) and I've seen all the BS go down with the in-fighting and etc. and am amazed at the way the music has lived on.....I knew I would never forget the band and it's music after the crash, but I thought others would in time.. Ronnie was an incredible writer and singer and I often wonder what would have been.... I've been to friends funerals that had skynyrd music played as they were laid to rest and it always seems to stick with me when I listen to those songs that this guy knew somehow that he would'nt be here to see the pride his fans have inside their hearts for the music.. 1977 wasn't kind to this fan.. We lost Elvis in August and Ronnie, Steve, Cassie, and Dean in October.. I was just 17 at the time but to me, I lost two of my favorite singers of my short young life. I am glad the band continues to make music and perform the classics on the road.. for me, that's a blessing.. Ronnie, I know most of your family is with you now, thank you brother for leaving all your fans your legend of true, honest music to share with others.. We will not ever forget you and know that we all still miss you dearly brother... Terry Lunsford 2009

What a moving tribute to this man-and his band, who were clearly ahead of their time.

What you do for yourself dies with you, but what you do for others can live on forever.
