The legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd performs their MGM Grand Theater debut on New Year’s Eve. This band is all about survival of spirit; unbowed, uniquely American, stubbornly resolute, Southern Rock at it’s best. Bring in the New Year with their recognizable anthems such as “Freebird,” “Tuesday’s Gone,” “Simple Man,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” and “That Smell” right up to the newest single “Still Unbroken,” from their latest album God & Guns.

I've got the "OK" from my wife... I offered to take her, spend the night but nope... So I don't know about staying over or just driving home after the show... I've done it a ton of times so no biggie...I'm sure because it's New Years Eve, there going to soak you for a room so we'll see...Do we have any "High Rollers" in the house that could help out Frynds of Skynyrd Nation???? LOL....

Damn straight on my "last" chance to hop up on stage and lend my vocals to the Boyz of Skynyrd...

So I'm putting it out there.... I AM ABLE AND WILLING!!!!!! Just ask your cousin Jimmie.... LOL....

ls that would be very cool if you could make it... We could have a NEW YEAR'S EVE SUMMIT!!!!

My suggestion is....

Get 1 room, take all the furniture, beds, chairs, anything that isn't nailed down and put it in the hallway and eveybody brings sleeping bags....
With that we could fit what???? 20-30 members of Skynyrd Nation in that one room, this way the cost per person would be what $10!!!! LOL!!!!!!! Plus we could fit a few more in the elevators....

Just a thought.... And the room would be under.... John Smith, Paul White, Your Name Here, etc....

But seriously, I'll call and see if I can get more info. But I'm sure it ain't going to be cheap.

ls, as far as airports... I don't know the CT area, but maybe TF Green in Rhode Island may be an option. I think it handles most airlines.

Hay,Hay...

We would love to commit to this adventure

(and perhaps make the Saturday night "HANGOVER CENTRAL".......

in Clinton, Mass on the way home......)

BUT.......

due to weather, snowstorms, and unpredictable road conditions we stay close to home during the winter months....

Enjoy ..............

Looking for the next SUMMIT............

CouchSurfing and airbnb might be worth considering for cheap lodging - I've used them a couple tiems to great effec ton some (non-Skynyrd) concert roadtrips. :)

Thanks for the tip, Paul - Skynyrd is one of the most underrated classic rock bands. We in Skynyrd Nation know better.

What rock lost in 10/77 was no less than what it lost in 2/59.
