Last I heard it was going through the screenwriting process. Very early stages. Also heard that 20th century fox may be putting it on. I mean if they tell it exactly like it happened with no other shit added to it then it should be box office gold. No one could make up a story that real. Its storybook already

Well...that would make one heck of a Christmas deal...not to knock any of the bands out there today but my opinion is that they have lost touch on what it really takes to make a really successful band instead of getting on a show and BOOM, you have a record contract...but this movie would be a lifes lesson in itself...these guys work there tails off to get where they got back then and they still work their tails off to continue the tradition of Lynyrd Skynyrd...I think people want to know the real and true facts and not the fiction because I believe Lynyrd Skynyrd is all real... |

Fantastic news. If they do this properly they'd make it two movies. The first movie would be about how Ronnie van Zant formed lynryrd skynryrd and it would end after the plane crash when Skynryrd rose from the ashes like a phoenix . The Second movie would be how Skynryrd reformed and came back to greatness. Now here's the question who would play Ronnie Van Zant and Johnny Van Zant ? and Allen Collins as well as the rest of the band ?

If they are really doing a Lynyrd Skynyrd movie then I would love to play the part of Steve Gaines...I'm from a small town in Grove, Oklahoma which is right down the road from Miami, Oklahoma...that would be a really cool deal...sounds like a big dream but anything is possible... |

I want to hear the story of Gene, Ronnie, the jacket, and the owner of the El Camino. That right there is worth the price of admission

=RossingtonRules said:Now , correct me if I am wrong, and I am sure that y'all will , lol- Who would play Gary? How about Gary himself. LOL! Who would play Steve Gaines? Good question. Not sure. Who would play Ronnie? Hear me out on this one. Jimmie Van Zant. Looks eerily similar. If not Jimmie, go with Donnie who looks quite like him too. "I've seen a lot of people who thought they were cool...

It would take a serious set to try and pull of an acting job of portraying Ronnie Van Zant... |
