I just got my copy of 'God and Guns', I love it! This is another classic recording! As a native and resident of Jacksonville Florida and a distant relative I know Ronnie would be so proud of these tracks.

That would be so cool to say I was a relative--even a distant one!

@Sweet Home AL Sara: Hi, I read your comment and just thought I'd send you a note, as I said in my comments I am a part of the Van Zant family, I'm only like a third cousin to Ronnie. I was born and raised in Jacksonville and this city has always been proud of this band since this is the home of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and your right it is cool to be able to say that I'm related. I'm glad you and millions like you are also fans of the greatest southern rock band that ever walked on stage, God bless. SV

SVZ,
Hopefully you got the "Special Edition" of God & Guns that contained the second cd with 6 bonus track.
There are 3 new songs Bang, Bang,, Raining In My Heartland (good one), and Hobo Kinda Man. Plus 3 Lyve songs Red White & Blue, Call Me The Breeze and Sweet Home Ala....

It's worth the couple of extra bucks so hopefully ya got that one...

I'm not dead, at least not yet, Still Alone, Still Alive, STILL UNBROKEN....

Hey Steve
If You can get word to the Band and ask them to Check this new site out,I think they'll agree to become more involved...We should ask" Tom Admin" to make a section for the Band members to comment. In this age of interaction the Newer fans and Old,like me whew gonna be 50 Nov, would have one of the most interesting and interactive sites if Band members connected Live say once a month to talk, give updates ETC.
We need to get the Admin to create that ability and a place for Band only comments.
Please try and advise them this new site is working but needs their support..
Suggestion Does Skynyrd have a Charity.? Ask them to collevtively think of one and we can add that to this site...theres limitless possibilities with the internet .
I know if The BAND,their loyal fans ,management and family work together the acheivements given by the Grace of God will be more amazing than anyone can envision.
Take care Steve

@01776: I think that you have some great ideas. I really like that one about a charity. I have always thought that flowers are a nice memorial for someone that passes away, but an even better way to honor them is to donate to something of their choice. I know that when it is my time to leave this world, I would want my family and friends to support a special cause in honor of my life. AND.....I also want some SKYNYRD music played!!!!!

I think it would be amazing if the City of Jacksonville or Orange Park -would have a Skynyrd Fest every year to celebrate & honor the guys -I wonder who we would have to vote into office for that to happen?

I couldn't agree more! That would be an incredible feature to the site. And so would a charity! Great idea.
