GOD AND GUNS IS THE BEST DAMN ALBUM OF LYNYRD SKYNYRD

Well theres a question for me to give my mind a thinkin too....hmmm....
I'll give that this album ,with the lineup now, is right up there in the Spirit and Tradition with any of the other Great Skynyrd Albums.....As " God and GUNS" does indeed reflect and signify what the Band is about,Believes in and without any question strives to maintain ,as it's Heritage requires...the taking on of serious issues of this country.
For me,to try and quantify or place any one album ahead of another..or ERA, of SKYNYRD, might do an injustice to the band members who aren't with the Nation today..in body but whom are certainly with the BAND and SKYNYRD Nation
every night and day...........Amen.

Thanks.....just trying to be truthful to the past..while mindful of the present....
It's like many of the current southern group line-ups...from SKYNYRD..to Outlaws,seen em 27 times, to Allman Bros..Marshall tucker..ETC...whew...the list of those groups and the older songs vs newer songs shouldn't ,to me as I said,try to be packaged into some box or framework of the mind that would'nt begin to do justice to the many hours,gigs..small and big..countless..rehearsals..broken strings..beers...relationships that got messed up.and on and on.....that took place for those many 1000's of Southern songs to be written..played and enjoyed.
Thanks for your kind words....but those Groups and Members Present and PAST..Deserve the Glory.!!!

Am i the only one that doesnt agree? i prefer Vicious Cycle - some great songs on there, especially Lucky Man, Crawl and Life's Lessons - brilliant lyrics and very personal to me!
