hi fellow fans. i wanted to let the world know about a jacket that has been kept near and dear to my heart since 1978. i had family in the medical field here in MS that were called to the plane crash site. somehow an aunt ended up with a jacket from the wreckage and was eventually given to me. there is no dout in my mind that it is authentic. just wanted some feed back, FLY ON! |

If it really is what you say, I would say that is a very special treasure you have, so please take care of it and store it well. |

You should return the Jacket to Judy Van Zant. If your half a man you will. She should decide where, if anywhere, it should go or stay. |

Hate to tell you this but if the jacket you are talking about is your profile picture, you've been lied to. The image on the jacket didn't come out until the 80's.

In the first place there are such things as statutes of limitations. I would imagine after these many years you would be hard-pressed to find any lawyer or judge willing to accept such a case. Then proof of ownership comes into play as well as a half-dozen other stipulations that say-'finders keepers'.
What you do for yourself dies with you, but what you do for others can live on forever. |

I'm sure it's a fake. Like Randy said-The logo is from the eighties. And WHY would a Band member have a Fly on Freebird Jacket? I mean-that is a Tribute Jacket, obviously. So, how could it have been pulled from the crash site? I ain't Hidin' from nobody, Nobody's hidin' from me |

How much sh*t has Craig Reed sold over the years that was "from the plane crash"? Hell, that plane was so loaded with stuff-it's no wonder it went down. Same thing here. Authentic, I say no-sorry pal, I have to agree with it being a tribute jacket and not original. What you do for yourself dies with you, but what you do for others can live on forever. |

@Road Fatigue: Are you serious? You're a Skynyrd Fan supposedly and you are asking who these people are? You must be a brand new fan or you would definitely know these names from the ORIGINAL Lynyrd Skynyrd band. |
