No BS I have original demo tapes that lynyrd skynyrd used they are over 35 yrs old two songs on reel to reel they were given to a friend in Barbington Ohio. one song is called Son of my Own there is no doubt who is singing these. I have tried many ways to find someone that can help me. I have never heard these tracks recorded or played, I have been true fan since 1977 at concert in Knoxville Tn. You are certainly right, the world and all Skynyrd fans deserve to hear these songs. I would like to think that there is a way this can be done with Gary & Johnny & the band helping to achieve this. Hopefully they are of good quality after all these years. Lost recordings like these are invaluable with obviously lots of legal issues as to ownership rights etc but it would be great if these could be worked out and for all of us to hear them. If you put a sample of it out there on the web that would solidify whether it is from 70's or not. If it is a reel to reel that is a pretty good sign but they did use reel to reel until late 80's. Wish you could somehow put it out there that would be awesome

Not to be mean but how tough is it to find somone with a reel to reel that could play it for ya?
Try the yellow pages theres people who can do that for you but i would have them do it withyou in person andmake sure no duplicates are made if they are real .And ya probly should NOT say what they are !
and if it is true Ohio? isnt that where craig reed is from? is that who you got them from?

Everyone must have been so darn stoned back in the day to just let people get recordings of the band like that.

And if you got them from Craig Reed wow why would he do something like that like sell or give away lossed recordings?

just when ya think the whole skynyrd musical library story has been told theres always more suprises like this !

hopefully its a good suprise and turns out well for ALL involved and if they are real i hope you just are kool about it and just give them to Gary Rossington and Van Zant famliy . Maybe they can give you lifetime free concert tickets or passes or something for them
