I first must thank all of you for the support, well wishes and continued discussions regarding the opening of "The Simple Man Saloon". I'm very thankful that there are some of you that are planning on attending as I can't wait to see you guys. I obviously have met Joe Z. and Medway (Greg) but am eager to meet the rest of you that are hoping to attend. I am also thankful for the large number of you that have sent good luck wishes to me (whether they were public or private). It's going to be a special night as a very "Skynyrd Fryndly" bar is unveiled in Central Mass.. The one bittersweet aspect of the night will be that not all of our "frynds" will be here to join us. The only thing that could make the night complete would be if some of our old buddies like Prez. Rusty, nuthinfancy, RF & Baby DK, Mr. and Mrs. Hill 7, Simpleman72, Skynyrd Forever (LS1981), Sweet Mama, Sweet Home AL Sara and of obviously one of my best buds from Toole, Utah........McSkynyrd. I'd also like to thank some more recent additions to Skynyrd Nation for their friendship and support, especially Trilok, wolfwhistle, ls-sbronson and Backstreet Crawler. Anytime that any of you make a pass through New England, please stop by as you are as welcome as family. The one "special guest" that I wish could make an appearance (as he doesn't reside too far away) is our own Tom Soares. Tom, I'll hold a spot for you at the head table if you can make it, just let me know.

@Wickey: Wow man...how utterly cool. RF and I wish you ALL the success! It would be a trek over there for us from Cali, but if sometime I drag him back East, we would be honored to drop in on ya! What you do for yourself dies with you, but what you do for others can live on forever. |
