As I have stated before, I was at the Cincinnati gig in 1976. Santana was second on the bill and Ted Nugent was third. It was the second time I saw them. The first being at the Cincinnati Gardens in1974 when they opened for The J. Geils Band and nobody really knew who they were because it was a few weeks before SECOND HELPING was released. After that, as they say, the rest is history.

Jan 10, 1976 Asheville, NC. Ashville Civic Center. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels Band and Antlanta Rythm Section. I was there and it was a great show. I was 14 at the time.

I first saw LS in Portland Oregon Memorial coliseum 1976,The main venue with ac dc.Ill never forget that concert.$6.50 for tickets.I was 13 at the time.Skynyrd was my favorite band besides LZ.I have to say I was really pissed when the new LS started and were called the real deal they are not the real deal.And to be honest I have just recently started to listen to them,they do sound good.I have my concert stub from that show.

May 16, 1976 Evansville, IN - -This was at Roberts Stadium. I was at this show just a few days shy of my 16th birthday. The Outlaws opened for them. This venue was demolished not too long ago. Many big name shows there. i.e. Elvis, Hendrix, Jackson, Bowie, Aerosmith, ZZ Top and everyone inbetween. Was sorry to see it go.
